Came here for the first time for a hair cut, Hassan the owner is a professional, made me feel comfortable and welcome. The barbershop 💈 is clean and tidy, it has dividers between the chairs , Hassan did sanitize everything before use. Will definitely go back there

'Gus The Other Barber' has been a longstanding Toronto barber shop for many decades now. I have gone there for hair-cuts for many years. I once tried another barber, years ago; but quickly returned to Gus The Other Barber. Classical music and soccer can be experienced while you sit in the barber-chair there. It is quite pleasant for a man. Hussan and Joseph are very cordial, accommodating, customer-focused gentlemen professionals, and very experienced in their craft. Other veteran barbers are quite active and engaged with their customers there as well. They are very accommodating for each man's wishes, whether it be a light trim, and significant clean-up, a complete head-shave, or whatever each man wishes to enjoy. They also shave faces for those who wish this experience. I have not done this there; but I have seen many other men enjoy this experience there. They are also very experienced in helping young boys, even male toddlers have a good-looking hair cut in a pleasant, kind experience for the young fella. I have seen this many times there in past years. Being on Bloor St., over the years, although very, very rare, I have seen one or two men come into the shop who were not behaving as gentlemen; I was impressed by how the owner - Hussan - handled these somewhat unruly men, in a calm, professional, gracious manner. It was impressive. First-class professional management. Please note again: this experience is relatively rare; as 99% of the time, the men or boys who come to this shop, are nice, good-natured fellows. Gus The Other Barber is a historic, quality Toronto landmark; and many competitors may emulate it; but none will ever match nor equal it.
